Take this all of it.

Gothgirl

1. This

Lex turned the knob. The door was locked.

"She must be out," Clark said grabbing Lex's arm.

"Clark, you have to tell me. What's going on here?" The look on his friend's face hurt. Clark couldn't let this happen. Helen was hurting him just like the rest.

Clark knew what he had to do.

Clark looked around. The hallway was empty. He smiled down at Lex and stepped closer. "This is kind of a surprise, even for me." Clark leaned in and tilted his head. With a gentle brush of lips, Clark sighed. Lex stiffened. Clark licked and probed. The velvet lips parted and warm wet tongues tangled.

Clark broke the kiss and looked into wide blue eyes.

"You waited until now to tell me." Lex's voice is horse.

"I'll never hurt you," Clark whispered and kissed him again.

The door behind them opened.

2. Fool

Lex stepped away from Clark and slipped his hands into pockets. He affected an air of casualness that made Clark's cock jump.

Lionel Luthor smirked at his son. "She's really very . . . sweet, Lex."

Lex looked past his father into his fiancé's office. Helen stood in the dimly lit room clothes dishevelled and hair mussed. She tilted her chin up defiantly, eyes blazing a dare.

Lex swallowed hard and with jaw clenched he turned an angry stare on Clark.

"You knew."

Clark was at a loss.

"Just tell me how and I will walk out of this hospital with you."

Clark panicked and stepped back. It was his turn for wide eyes.

"You've hurt me more than anybody else I have ever known."

Lex glanced at Helen one more time then turned and walked away from both of them.

He would not be a fool.

3. Gain

In the parking lot Lionel leaned against his limousine. Lex wondered how he had missed it. Father and son stared across a chasm for an eternity, expressionless and broken all at once. Lex chose to be the better man and just walked away. This time he didn't miss the smirk on his father's face.

Later, when the sun had fallen beneath the green horizon, Lex sat quietly sipping a brandy by the fire. The last time he's sat here he'd made a grave error. It was a knee-jerk reaction to a near death experience. He knew that now.

Soft footfalls echoed through the room.

"Unless you're here to confess . . ."

"I'm an alien that fell to earth with the meteors."

Lex turned at the sudden words. He smiled a soft smile and eyed his friend. "I know."

The startled look on Clark's face surprised him.

4. Lose

"I refuse to lose you." Clark's voice was fierce. He settled into the soft leather beside Lex and set a gentle hand on Lex's thigh.

"Want to rule the world together?"

"That's why I'm here."

Lex didn't miss the seriousness of this statement. Together they leaned in and continued the kiss that had started at the end of another lifetime. Tongues entwined and fingers laced.

The feeling of loss was already gone.

"I didn't break up one unfortunate affair so that you could start another," Lionel said from the entrance.

The two broke apart. Lex expected Clark to stammer and blush but instead this innocent boy stared down the one man that could destroy them.

"You know what I can do," Clark said.

Lionel just stared at the interlacing hands.

"Do you think you can leave this room alive?" Lex said.

5. Bluff

Poison filled words that Lex relished.

Lionel swallowed hard. Lex didn't miss the raw look of terror in the older man's face.

Clark stood and lowered his eyes until he was staring at Lionel through long thick lashes. Lex felt the swell of pride in his chest.

"I'll destroy your family, boy."

Lex was amazed that Lionel could inject such bravado into the words. He stood. "Tsk dad, didn't you teach me never to make threats I couldn't back?"

"Kent is a good boy. He's bluffing."

Clark was behind Lionel. He had him in a crushing embrace before either man could draw another breathe.

"You were saying," Lex said as he stood. He stopped in front of his father.

"The doctor knows. Martha told her everything and Helen told me," Lionel managed to squeeze out in-between breathes.

"So much for patient confidentiality," Lex said.

6. Burnt

Lionel went back to Metropolis quietly. His life was forfeit and so was Helen's. With one phone call her career was on the road to ruins.

She stormed the castle as Clark was down on his knees sucking Lex off. To his credit, Clark didn't stop until every drop was drunk.

They straightened themselves out and stood to confront the wicked witch.

"You did it to yourself," Lex told her.

"I'll tell your parents," she said to Clark.

Clark didn't take to kindly to the threat the second time. Her hair was on fire before Lex could rein his lover in.

"Hate is too tame a word to describe what I feel for you," Clark said as Helen struggled to put out the flames.

"Leave while you still can," Lex said.

"This isn't over," she screamed.

Clark followed her. She spun to face him.

7. Flame

"Did he tell you about his room?" she said with mocking tone.

Lex chuckled at the desperation in her voice.

Clark just smiled. "If you had remained loyal he would have given you the world."

"He never wanted me," she said as she left for good.

Clark turned to Lex and followed wordlessly as Lex unlocked that one room Clark had never been able to x-ray.

It was the room with the broken Porsche, now made into a shrine, one devoted to Clark.

He examined every item carefully and nodded as he moved through the displays.

After, when he was finished, Clark fucked Lex on the floor. They came with each others names on their lips. Fire from Clark's eyes engulfed the monitors in front of them.

Lex struggled beneath him. Clark held him down as the flames consumed each item one by one.

8. Ashes

"You don't need this anymore, you have me now."

"Ashes consume me and I shall be made new," Lex whispered as Clark lifted them up and flew them over the flames.

They were in his bedroom in a blink.

"The castle," Lex said as Clark pinned him to the mattress.

"Let it burn down around us," Clark said.

Lex smiled. "When did you change?"

"It was when you were looking away. I was tired of everybody standing still."

"You were tired of standing still."

They made love this time. Lex took his time with preparation and gentle care. Clark spread his thighs and tilted his head, eyes glinting amber in the light.

"What about your friends and family?"

Clark groaned as Lex entered him. "They'll have to wait."

Lex waited until Clark was throbbing around his cock.

"Will you threaten them too?"

9. Phoenix

The strongest arms in the world held Lex in the gentlest embrace.

Martha watched as her son and Lex walked into the Talon. Jonathan sat back and set his coffee down.

Clark and Lex sat in unison across from them. Clark took Lex by the hand and nodded at his parents.

"We're taking over the world together," he said shortly.

They didn't miss the lack of humour in their son's words.

Lex called Lana over. Her smiled turned to a frown when she saw the hands linked. Clark slung and arm across the chair Lex sat in.

"This is where we'll start our conquest," Lex said. "Apple pie please."

They stared at him with shocked expressions.

"What? You can't conquer the world on an empty stomach."

Everybody, including Lex, laughed.

"What about the wedding? You have the caterers coming in two days."

Lex smiled around pie. "We'll get married instead."

Jonathan spewed coffee on the floor.

10. Rebirth

It wasn't legal in any court of law but they did it anyway. Everyone was there, including Lionel.

They exchanged rings and Clark burned Helen's belongings that night. The castle had survived the first fire but Lex was not taking any chances. He ordered Clark to use a fireplace.

The wedding night found them sharing three words of devotion that neither had ever meant before. They made promises to each other they knew they could keep.

That night, Lex couldn't sleep. He watched his partner. Clark drifted to sleep, exhausted by a night of sexual excess. Clark looked soft and gorgeous asleep, his breathing barely noticeable.

Lex brushed finger tips across the stubbled chin.

Deep in his gut he felt the knots loosen. Some part of him didn't believe he was really here. Any moment he would wake up beside somebody else.

He didn't.
